About

My name is Chris, and I play X-Wing. You'll often find me throwing blanks and getting salty around the Sheffield gaming stores, or just missing the cut at a nearby tournament. Some know me as the zany hat guy, or the guy that flies weird squads. You'll find me on Vassal from time-to-time, under the gamer tag "Kalador Silverstaff". I also write code from time to time. Command Deck is a passive attempt to write code, whilst thinking about X-Wing; a double-geek, as one could (but shouldn't) say. Finally, I'm not very good at writing, blogging, or design. It's not that I can't make a good looking UI, it's just that it's not a passion. I'll try to make things look a little better in time.

About Command Deck

The X-Wing community is amazing. One testament to this is the broad range of community developed tools offered for free. Command Deck is designed to draw some of these tools together into a single page. A sort of X-Wing portal if you will. It's main purpose is to keep my coding skills in use, and to let me explore some of these community tools, as well as Facebook's API. Hopefully, it will be useful to someone other than myself. The layout and appearance of Command Deck is currently "sufficient". As such, there may be some confusion as to function and form. Command Deck is lovingly thrown together in C#, and is hosted on Microsoft's Azure platform. Extra references courtesy of dcsoup (available at https://www.nuget.org/packages/dcsoup/1.0.0)
